The emphasis of this site is to make everyone familiar with Maryam's art and future projects.
The focus of Maryam's work is on symbols, some originated from the Eastern culture and some from everyday life, whether it be the Lion and the Sun on the Iranian flag, the evil eye or just plain life symbols such as passion, feelings, perseverance, strength, etc. She also incorporates calligraphy in her work; Not only Iranian and Arabic calligraphy, but also any calligraphy that carries meaning.
Essentially, Maryam hopes to build bridges between cultures and religions through my paintings and designs by showing that no matter what language, culture or religion we come from, we are all one and share the same world. As Saadi said, “Human beings are members of a whole, in creation of one essence and soul...If one member is afflicted with pain, other members uneasy will remain... If you have no sympathy for human pain, the name of human you cannot retain...”.
