Maryam Gueramian – InStyle Magazine Germany – Jun, 2015

This month, I was featured in the June issue of Instyle Magazine Germany. The main theme of InStyle Magazine Germany’s June, 2015 issue is Festival & Party Fashion and I am honored that my Coachella style was picked among the handful of style icons¬†such as Alessandra Ambrosia and Gigi Hadid to be featured. It may seem like a small achievement to many but to me, it is a big step forward in the future of my art, fashion, entrepreneurial and philanthropy endeavors.

Growing up, I always aspired to one day be featured in top fashion magazines that I used to pick up monthly at the store or subscribe to. This aspiration grow stronger after I launched my tshit and jewelry line, Confiance by Maryam Gueramian while in business school and had the opportunity to become a sponsor at the HBO Luxury Lounge in Honor of the 68th Golden Globe Awards. Suddenly, my designs got in the hands of A-list celebrities and boutique like Fred Segal started carrying them.

Then, the opportunity to work for a high tech lifestyle company was given to me and given that I have recently receive my MBA, I decided to take it and gain corporate business experience. After gaining valuable business know-how, I decided to step back in to the world of fashion. I got together with a long-time friend and launched an online store called Private Cartel where we retail attainable fashion forward street-wear for both men and women. As for Confiance, I am in the process of revamping the website and designing a new jewelry collection.

It’s been an amazing journey so far and I really look forward to soon having an editorial in InStyle Magazine on my art, fashion and charity endeavors thus far, as well as my future goals.

Just like they say that it’s not so much about the destination but the journey that gets you there, I find that “the discipline you learn and character you build from setting and achieving a goal can be more valuable than the achievement of the goal itself.” ~ Bo Bennett
