For as long as I can remember, I’ve served as personal shopper to my dad and younger brother and one of my favorite things to shop for is men’s shoes. It is with utter bragging that I say my dad is always rocking the latest shoe trends if not being even ahead of the trend. A few months ago, he asked me to buy him a few new pairs of shoes and told me to get a pair that would be appropriate for a chic casual outfit.

So me, being obsessed with men’s shoe trends and always on the hunt for brand names at bargain deals, I kick started my search and found him these beige suede Cole Haan Tassle loafers. I knew he is a fan of tassel shoes and he wanted a casual pair so I just had to order them. Now, about 3 months later, tassel loafers are literally one of the hottest shoe styles for men. The cool thing about this pair and style in particular is that it is versatile and can be styled to fit any age range.

For instance, the image on the right, which I found on the @menwithclass instagram account, shows how a young professional Mens-Navy-Tassel-Loafers-The-Northampton-Gentman styled a pair of brown suede tassel loafers for a business casual look. You can shop this pair directly here.

I also really like how these navy loafers have been styled in the image on the left. This guy is the perfect portrayal of the modern day professional yet trendy man, which as I mentioned in my previous post, I like to call this type of style “trendessional!’ Guys, believe me when I say Navy is trending big time this year and investing in a pair of navy tassel loafers is definitely a good idea. Brooks Brothers has a pair that look almost identical to the ones in this image.

The last look I want to share with you all is this simple, effortless yet edgy super on trend street style. This one particularly grabbed my attention because I noticed the trio style combination of biker, hipster and preppy. I like how he paired a leather motor jacket with skinny jeans and a pair of  black leather tassel loafers (get it here)to come up with a unique style. Shall we call it the “bistereppy?” 😉

It’s a case of opposites attracting, just like in interior design when you pair trendy furniture with antique accents, or antique furniture with modern art in order to add some charm to the edge. Same goes in fashion as well. So gentlemen, once again I leave you with another styling quote to live by. “To achieve the nonchalance which is absolutely necessary for a man, one article at least must not  match.” ~Hardy Amies, Couturier
